In June, the Queensland Government released an action plan to reform Queensland's further education and training sector.

Great skills. Real opportunities. outlines a program of reform for Queensland's vocational education and training sector that will support Queenslanders to access and complete the skills training they need to get a job.

As part of these reforms, the government intends to dissolve Skills Queensland as soon as practical, and will transfer all functions, including industry engagement and apprenticeship and traineeship regulation, to the Department of Education, Training and Employment.
